Shipping Information

Thank you for visiting the Grindstone Bakery Store.

Due to the unique nature of our business, there are only a couple of viable shipping options available to ensure that your order arrives fresh and delicious while keeping the shipping cost down.

All orders received by SATURDAY will ship the following TUESDAY.  THIS IS OUR ONLY SHIPPING DAY OF THE WEEK.

Shipping and handling are included in the listed prices; these are the final prices that you pay. Since we can fit 4 items in one of our standard boxes, you need to order 4 units, or multiples of 4, at a time of any combination of products –Gluten Free or Spelt, Rye, Barley.

We use UPS Ground shipping for customers with a physical address in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and parts of Hawaii.

UPS takes 1 day to reach homes in Northern California, 2 days for the rest of California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and 3 days for Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and parts of Hawaii.

We’ll ship via US Postal Service Priority Mail to the rest of the country, including Alaska and the parts of Hawaii not covered by UPS. It takes 2-3 days, but the US Postal Service has no guaranteed delivery day.

All orders to PO Boxes are delivered via US Postal Service Priority Mail.

All our breads are Authentic Sourdough and they keep very well without the need of adding preservatives -we DO NOT add preservatives or mold inhibitors of ANY kind. After you receive your order, you may keep your loaves unrefrigerated for three to four days, provided you remove them from the bag. This allows the bread to “breathe” so the surface is kept dry and mold does not grow. They may be refrigerated or frozen if desired.
